Meaning you could have more fuel that could be burnt at idle. A buzz test only test the electrical parts you need to have a CCT (cylinder contribution test) done to see if the injectors are dumping the right amount of fuel

You have two plugs going to each valve cover. Unplug on plug at a time and start the truck and see if if stops smoking.

I would try the white smoke sticky thread at the top of this forum and go through it. Might be a lot easier...

I will try this tomorrow. Do you know if the harbor freight scanner will check this?

Rick, does a person need a special scanner to check the IPR DC % or could someone take it to an Oreilly's and use there scanner for free?

The part store scanners won't read a psd. A good shop will have one that can see live data

Depends on your throttle position, mine will vary from 13% at idle to 45% WOT.
