Hey Drew, Hey Tim.

Just spent 3 hours on some math homework and a quiz. Got 57%. Oh, word. Now for 2 essays haha.

You said you were going to look at your rebuilding house, right? What all is there to do?

I don't even let her load it because then it is just more work for me to get it correct! It all started when i was a freshman and got my first job not working for my father and i was a dishwasher at a small Italian place. One night it was super busy and the owner came in and told me to take a break and I said I was good so he lite a smoke and put it in my mouth so I could keep working. I got a $1 raise at the end of the night.

I thought of a story for you Drew, try to explain how messed up/hilarious this house is. The night we were moving in I went into the guest bath. Assumed the door was shut. My cousin walked in on me and we had a good laugh.

Turns out the **** was busted and they had cut a piece of cardboard the size of the strike plate, taped it onto the frame with about 1ft of clear tape, then painted white over that. Now, I understand not having the $ to buy a doorknob. Maybe. But in that room is a linen closet with the identical door ****. And, it's not big enough to shut with someone in it. Forget needing a screw driver even, you could switch ***** with a butter knife if you had to.

Lol, we'll have to swap stories one day. I came close to falling straight through our porch roof. BRanch hit it, they apparently covered it with shingles, left the broken plywood. For some reason the roof was insulated, too. Never forget that hot black goop.

My last house had an addition put on by my in laws back in the 80's I think. Well there was always a leak at the Chimney in the addition that no one could ever figure out. So I moved in and brought my roofer over to see what was going on. He pulled the flashing and shingles around the area to find that there was a 12" gap between the plywood and the chimney. The framer had finished before the mason and then the roofer never added more plywood right up to the chimney so it was just shingles over the gap. Needless to say it leaked from maybe 6 months or so after it was finished until I took over in 2003. Lucky for them no other damage was done. the sad part about it all was that they hired a General Contractor to build it this is not something they built themselves or contracted out them selves. Not real sure how the inspector missed it too but many people were asleep at the wheel on that one.

I believe it. One of my biggest peeves is people not doing right.

You remember Pete Ortez? He's the one that built my parents house from 86-88. Took months for them to get the inspection 'unpassed' to sue for the work he was supposed to do. On a re-visit the guy that'd originally passed it told them "might want to get that fixed before somebody falls and sues you.." He was referring to the 16ft drop out the french doors where the deck was supposed to be.

Yeah some inspectors just don't pay attention or they get side jobs under the table from the contractor.

Well i am off need to get some sleep tonight as i barely got any last night. Talk to you all at some point tomorrow!

You do find some wierd things sometimes. That diamond mark on a tape is an old Southern trick (19 3/16 or 3/8") you would not use one stud in an 8' wall. The owner at this house put in anywhere from 16" On center to 24", angled walls, green yellow pine. No ground wire, no insulation except in one wall between the bathroom and kitchen. The electric service line came in one side of the house and ran all the way to the otherside of the house before going into a fuse box. Lots of fun straightening things out.

Hah, how old is the place George?

I was thinking about your pump issue- Just get a mechanical pump driven off of a 300. It won't break

Night Tim. Big week ahead?

Built somewhere around 1966, Dave. I cut out and replaced a lot of studs that were so warped and bowed that the would have made good sleigh runners.

Be a long PTO shaft or chain drive = well is 192 ft deep.

192ft isn't bad. What kind of stone are y'all working with up there, or did you end up on a fracture?

Fun Ford Fact for when y'all wake up. Been catching up on Ax Men tonight. Noticed that all of these guys drive Fords. Even the swamp man's logo dog has an old 300 in it.
