I'm actually going for my first time this year also. I can't wait.
I spoke with someone the other day that said (not sure how true it is, but) there used to be folks from "across the pond" that would actually bring their trucks over for the show. He said they don't really do that as much anymore after the economy tanked but they still have many that come over "sans" their truck.

Here is the website for the show
F-100 Supernationals and All Ford Show
I went last year for the first time, this show is open to ALL Fords, not just F100's, but it certainly has a huge concentration of them. Last year they had more than 750 vehicles registered, plus a good sized swap meet area and lots of vendors.
If you plan to fly in, the nearest airport is Knoxville, TN(TYS) Lots of rooms available in Pigeon Forge and the surrounding area.

I attended the 2008 event when it was held in Knoxville (at the Knoxville Zoo parking lot). It's now held in Pigeon Forge but is no longer trucks only. Plan on seeing a lotta cars.
There were about 20 cars at the 2008 event. This event was originally owned by Pat Ford (now works for Carpenter as a 'road man'). After he sold it, cars began appearing for the first time.
Here in LA LA Land, the early birds (those in 'the know') attend swap meets before the sun comes up, are usually armed with flashlights.
When I attended the 2008 event, I was at the swap meet the first day...at 7AM, hardly anyone was walking around, most of the vendors were closed.
If you plan to fly in from the West Coast, you can fly direct to Charlotte NC. You have to change planes if you want to fly into Knoxville.
> The F100 Western Nationals Truck Show is held in June at Canyon RV Park, north of the 91 Freeway in Anaheim CA. Trucks only, thru 1979 only. <

This was our first trip to TN, flew R/T from LAX to Charlotte. Also visited Lookout MT/Chickamauga, stayed in Chattanooga a coupla nights at the hotel that has RR cars.
Drove a bit of the northbound Blue Ridge Parkway (Asheville/Boone) after the show ended. Have driven most of it N/S and Skyline Drive in previous visits.
I took a bunch of pics, sent them to SteveBricks, are posted in the SoCal Chapter forum.

Gregruk,
If you would like a sensory overload of F100's, then the F100 Supernationals is the place for you. As Harleymsn stated, "there were about 750 vehicles at the show and I would estimate that there were about 30 ford cars present, which I appreciated (rare Fairlanes, Galaxies, etc..).
I believe the numbers were down last year because of the weather forecast (rain) and expect the numbers to continue to climb. Charlie Cobble, the new owner of the show, has worked diligently to increase the number of vendors (great for us truckers). Last year, every major vendor related to F100's was present. I’ve been attending the F100 Supernationals for the past 15 years and it was the most vendors I had ever seen.
I realize people had an attachment to Pat Ford as he started the F100 Supernationals. He decided to sell the show a move his life in a different direction. Although Charlie Cobble has made a few mistakes during his tenure, I believe he is listening to his customers and responding. For one major example, many of us truckers hated the show being in Knoxville because it took the family component out of the show. Charlie listened and once the agreement was up, moved the show back to Pigeon Forge. He realizes the location is not the best, but will make continued adjustments to please his customers.
I plan on making the trek to Pigeon Forge again this May. If we have a group of FTE'ers, we will need to set up a meet and greet (it's always nice to match a username to a face).

I've already been talking to Tacson(Donald) about meeting there. The more the merrier!
I'll be there to hit the swap meet first thing Thursday morning to try to find some good 56 doors. Unless a member here has some for sale and brings 'em with 'em for me to buy....hint hint. Anyone? HaHa....

Attended every year at Chillahowee park plus the year before in Pigeon Forge. Went to the first one after the move and was very disappointed. If I want to sit in a Parking lot I will do that at a local show. Chillihowee Park was nice with grassy areas and nice amenities. Also the "all Ford" is a joke. I have pictures of Dodges and Chevys at the Pigeon Forge Show. I believe the Dodge even won a Trophy.
