Special question.. door filling up with water?

Why I am asking this even baffles me, but I wanted to hear if anyone really has had this issue with their door filling up with water, to the point of blowing out the speaker on these 08-10 rigs?

I know, very strange thing to ask, but I was hoping to see what validity there is behind this rumor my illustrious neighbor shared with me... My first thought was "what *ll are you doing that you leave your windows down in a rain storm?"... But apparently to him, the "doors can drain the water that collects, as its a factory flaw, so I need to drill holes out in the bottom of the door frame to allow drainage"...

Is this guy smoking something, or did I miss something? LOL!

If the rubber plugs in the bottom of the door get plugged with dirt they can retain water. You don't have to have the windows down to get water in the door. Our last heavy rain I had to pull several plugs out of both doors of the '08. Have had to do the same with Rangers. There are a good 4-6 plugs that easily pull out and will let the water out no reason to go drilling holes.

I have never had to do that with any door on any car/truck that I have owned.

Thats what I thought... Initially looking under the jam of the door itself, I didnt see a plug, but doesnt mean there isnt one! Whew... Good to know I wasnt out there! Thank you! LOL!
