lift for 94 f350
I've got 38 inch tires that I really want to put on my truck. But I need to lift my truck. I don't care much for body lifts but at this point im willin to do about anythin to lift it, or enough to hold me over till I can afford a suspension lift. But any how, my buddy said I could only go 4 inches of suspension (i want to do at least 6) before I'd have replace driveshafts and and drop the transfercase. What I want to know is is that true? and if I do a body lift how much of a lift should I do and would it be alright if I made my own( I work in a machine shop). I want it to look good but not be unstable.

Pretty sure he's right on the 4", it is what I've heard. If you wanted to cheat, you could always do 4" suspension and 2" body. But I'm a fan of shackle lifts and this is what I'm doing when I get the opportunity.
