Best F250 shocks

Guys I have a farm truck that I'm putting a service body on for my personal work truck its an 02 truck and rides like a covered wagon it will beat you to death. I wont to put a suspension system on it that wont ride so bad becuse I will be in it all day, dont wont it lifted just great stock suspension whats the best? Also this truck will be in the dirt in fields and rock roads so it has to hold up and air bag wont work because it wouldnt take long for a cotton stalk to go through the bags. Thanks

Depends what youre looking to spend. Some Bilsteins will be good, 5100 or HD series. I have Rancho 7000MT and they are pretty good too. Before I would have recommended the Rancho 5000 series if you didnt want to go with the 9000s, but now with the 7000s on the market you have a good middle ground. I always thought the 5000s were a little weak for these trucks but it was that or 9000s.

The Ranchos tend to lean more off road. My 7000MTs are pretty robust. I had to compress the rears with a floor jack

I would go for those as an economy option. Or the Bilstein HDs.

Rancho offers three shocks for your Super Duty... RS5000, RS7000MT, and RS9000XL. See link below for Part#'s. If your budget allows, I recommend the RS9000XL shocks.
Rancho Suspension: Upgrade Your Shocks

Bilstein offers the HD series (Front - Part# F4-BE5-2818-H0, Rear - Part# F4-BE5-C296-H0). See link below for details.
Bilstein - KYB - Rancho - Monroe - Edelbrock Automotive Truck Shocks and Struts - Shockwarehouse.com

ShockWarehouse.com offers a 5% discount to FTE members even though they are no longer an FTE Sponsor. See link below for promo code "ford2012".

Otherwise, do a Google search with the Part#'s for best pricing.

I put a set of Monroe Reflex shocks on my truck and it helped the ride quite a bit and didn't stiffen up the suspension.(Just soaks up the bumps) You have to watch some of the aftermarket shocks as they tend to stiffen up the suspension so to speak. They are not that expensive either, I paid around $170 with shipping for 4.

The Rancho RS9000XL shocks are adjustable with 9 settings so you can dial in the comfort level you want.

I hate to contradict you on the air bags.... they are pretty tough...
there is actualy a sponsored air lift company member on here, I would like to here him weigh in on the duribility of air bags.
So how about it Air Lift? got some torture testing to share with us?

I would love to hear his input, I have seen cotton stalks go through 16 ply ag tires before. I know this is off topic but do any of you run nitrogen in your tires and does it actually save you on fuel, and save wear your tires? Reason for asking with $4 fuel were trying anything we can to cut fuel cost, ever herd of running it in ag tires before?

Airbags are pretty tough, but I can't say for sure on what their design limits are. Let me get with our technical group and dig up some info.

You could always build a guard of some kind around the bag if they were something you were interested in adding.

I will let you know what I find out.

Im looking that the Reflexes as well. Im on a budget (need 2 front tires and an alignment). How do they hold up with medium loads/ small trailering?
