Can anyone tell me how to properly remove the vcp from center console. Thanks

 

My '02 Expy center console houses a CD player, the VCP and a small storage compartment. I use a needle-nose pliers to lift/remove the small rubber mat at the bottom of that storage compartment. Using a 7mm speed-wrench or a socket and extension, remove the two hex-headed bolt/screws that you've just spotted under that removed mat. Once the screws are removed, remove the plastic facia that surrounds the VCP and the CD player. It's been a long time since I've done this, but I believe that the VCP now just disconnects from it's electrical plug - if not, there may just be a couple more screws to release the VCP from ther floor of the console. It should be self evident when you remove that facia.
