That's the smallest Ford key you'll find
There are ways around it if you'd like to use the 80's-1997 style key though. Take the plastic flashing off the steering column and tape/glue your current PATS key to the column IMMEDIATELY NEXT TO the key slot. Re-install the plastic flashing
Then you can use a non PATS key to start the truck. By placing the PATS key in that position, the PATS system will sense its RFID tag and allow a non PATS key to start the truck
If you only have 1 key, check out my write-up below to get a second one...or add a third

Yes, you can add any instrument cluster that the higher trim levels had (ie: XLT, FX4, Lariat). Dealership will have to program the PCM to have correct "as built" data so the cluster will work. Only exception is the Lariat info center

If you want actual numbers like trans temp or coolant temp (ie: 180F), that's a no go. Ford gauges are all dummy gauges. The trigger cold/operating/hot...and that's about it
I suggest you get a Scangage II. I use one for my PSD. It reads from the PCM using the OBD-II port. Very nifty tool that is $120-150 if you shop around
