Indeed the stock airbox is cr@p. But do you have something else lined up to replace it, such as a 6637 or other "big barrel" filter?
Lack of power at the red/green small wire is at the crux of your problem. Just so we're on the same page, you did check it with the key in RUN, correct? If so, and if you indeed have the WTS light, then the problem is most likely a break in that wire, somewhere between the GP relay and the PCM.
Yes i checked with key on and i indeed had a WTS light. I just got done installing my 6637, i used a white pvc 3inch 45 degree and it fit nicely in filter and turbo side. I will check harness where it connects on fenderwell for the red/green wire, if if have power on engine side of harness i shall run and jumper and not worry about harness. Thanks!
Well i believe i found the problem. I unplugged the connection right off of GPR where the pink and red wires meet, checked for power on PCM side and would'nt ya know it, I had power on the red/green wire. I pushed the female contacts together a little bit, plugged reconnected and I had power at my GPR. Thanks for the help i should check to see that relay is in fact turning on but i'm just gonna find out tomorow.
Well i went out this morning, it was barely 20 degrees i let the WTS light go off and she fired right up! I am glad it was so simple to fix, and that i have all you guys to give me those little pointers so i am not lookin for a needle in a haystack. Now I just need to get a set of GP's in my 95...
