Horizon Ford/Parts Guy Ed

I have been away for a little while due to some real world stuff going on. Last I knew Ed was out with a stroke. I guess he is still out as I am having issues trying to get prices for parts out of Horizon Ford now. I have tried both email (I dont get responses back) and I tried calling them (have not gotten return calls back)
I am in need of a neutral safety/range switch for my transmission and a 4x4 indicator switch (installs on top of transfer case) I would prefer Ford parts, but am soon going to have to go thru Rock Auto or some other source (local dealerships want over $186 for 4x4 switch and $80 for range switch)

Anyone else having problems getting parts from Horizon or know whats going on?

I live near them and stopped by several months ago. Ed is still out and I would expect that he won't return. The guys running it now said they are having issues with the email system on the ed the parts guy site so its not being used anymore. They have me a Gmail account to use but I lost it.

I would keep trying them on the phone. I don't know of a cheaper place to get OEM parts.

Good Luck.

When I learned Ed wasn't gonna be back at Horizon Ford, I called Steve at Tousley Ford and asked him to become a sponsor here at FTE. I put Steve in contact with FTE Jason who handles that stuff and within a couple weeks, Tousley had signed on.

Tousley Ford is a supporting vendor here and has great prices and excellent shipping costs.

Check 'em out.

I used Tousley for years before I met Ed in person and switched to him because he was a SV here.

Steve at Tousley is just like Ed, good people with excellent customer service and dang does he know his Ford parts.

Cool...I just set up an account with them, but looks like I will have to call on Monday to find my 4x4 indicator switch (unless anyone else knows the part number)
Thanks for the info.

When you call, make sure you mention the internet pricing, otherwise you may get quoted full retail.

You can also just pick up the phone and call, if you do this just be sure to mention the internet discount at the beginning of the conversation so there's no questions about pricing.

Here is who I buy all of my OEM stuff from. He also sells on Ebay. He beats any price around. He is in Michigan, and I'm in Florida. Even with shipping he has the best price.

Szott Ford

Ask for the parts department.
Then ask for Dave.

He will take care of you.

I too use Szott Ford in Holly Michigan. All the dealers quoted me $85 on my 4x4 solenoid, bought it from Szott for $50. Wanted front OEM mud flaps for my wife's edge. Every quote was from $40 to $78, bought them for $22 from Szott. I just mention that I heard about them on this site. Great Dealership to do business with.
