Pic of rock sliders on a dent ?

Please post up pics of rock sliders on a dent if you have 'em.
Seeing them on a SC would be extra sweet.

I'll be building a set this summer along with new bumpers and haven't made up my mind yet on the sliders. I plan to incorporate some kind of step on them also that won't get hung up too bad.

Sorry but what are sliders. I assume they are something I have seen, but with a different name.

The first description that came to mind that I could put into words is a running board on steroids.

The primary purpose is to protect the cab/rocker panel from getting crushed due to impact with rocks, stumps, logs, etc.

If you google it you'll get tons of pics, but mostly for jeeps and toyotas.

Not sure if you'd call them sliders, but they'd stand up to anything I'd throw at em.

4 wheel and off road mag is doing a "bluferd" 79 blue ford truck build and did a nice job of a roll cage and rock sliders all in one. If you can track down either a April or later 2011 mag is has some great pic. I am not near my library/stack of old ones or I would tell you the exact monthly mag. And there web site is a PITA to navigate and slow due to all the adds.

Found it.....link to the mags article

Looks easy enough and I like tieing it all together......

Yea, something very similar is what I have in mind.

However it's going to be a little different for me since I'm running fenderwell exit headers.

Well about where the round red circle is, is where the header collector will be. FYI you might even have to grind a 1/8th of the cab mount bracket edge off?

What about a lower mount design to tie into the radious arm bracket and give your header collector a little protection?

And move the other support tubes to the bottom of the frame line and there mount tabs turned straight and then run you exhaust between the tubes and the bottom of the cab.

All tucked up and sort of protected?
