Those look great on there.

Right now I've got bigger fish to fry with an engine swap...

Not nearly as far along as I'd like this eve. Got the old 5.0 pulled out & the 5.8 is prepped to go in tomorrow. Need to clean some things up in the engine bay and reinstall the torque converter then I'll be ready to drop'er in. Should go faster tomorrow putting everything back. Some of those old bolts underneath were stubborn!

Yep. Actually had to get the appropriate flexplate as this engine came w/ flywheel & clutch (which I'll use on the 68 Bronco project!). Op checked the TC yesterday and we're all good there.

Well, the 5.8 is atleast in the engine bay. Ran outta time & had to leave it sitting on the mounts. Need to line the TC up with the flexplate Tues when shop opens back up & start bolting everything back on.

OK, a little more progress yesterday! Was able to get it to idle good enough to set the base timing & top off all the fluids. The timing might be somewhat eroneous as I still don't have the exhaust hooked up with the HEGO input. Upon initial startup it runs like Buttah! Once the computer tries to take over it gets a little choppy. Hopefully get the exhaust & new HEGO on tomorrow afternoon & have this baby runnin' for real!

Well, changed the fuel filter today and dumped a bottle of Techron in the tank to see if this thing smoothes out. I will say, whoever had the bright idea to mount the fuel filter inboard of the side tank & skid plate should be sentenced to 1 month of replacing said filters 8-10hrs/ day, 7 days a week! What a stupid idea for a filter location!!!!

OK, got'er smoothed out yesterday evening! Turns out I missed a vacuum port on the bottom of the throttle body driver's side = vacuum leak... Didn't notice it wasn't hooked up until I stripped it down to replace the entire TB with the one I pulled off the 5.0. Got the clean TB on with the vacuum hooked up correctly and she purrs like a kitten. Now, to just dial in the timing & put a tailpipe on this weekend & I'll be all set & ready to get back to my real projects... the Broncos!

Got the 2.5" tailpipe bent up & welded on this morn. I brought it out the pass side just in front of the front spring hanger. I like how it turned out. Sounds a ton better not echoing under the bed too!

FINALLY got my "squeak" fixed! Front wheel bearings. Quit for awhile after I did the front brakes then came back (probably because I had them too tight!). Soooo, new wheel bearings on both sides properly torqued and I replaced the driver's side ball joints when I was in there for good measure as I needed new ones on the passenger side when I had it aligned a couple months ago. Now she rolls quiet as a mouse.

Hopefully get my new fuel pumps in tomorrow (gonna pull the bed to get at'em) then she'll be 100% as my backup rig (69 Bronco) is going hard down for some serious upgrades and I don't want any trouble with the '95.

Made it a whole 18hrs before my "squeak, squeak, squeak" came back! Its going to drive me crazy! New U-joints in rear driveline, all new brakes (& its a consistent noise braking or not), new front wheel bearings. Makes the squeak in 2wd & 4wd however appears quieter in 4wd. Front manual locking hub maybe? It definately has something to do with the rotation of the tires/ wheels as the frequency increases with speed & its coming from the frontend.
