Occasional overnight coolant leak
Hi everyone, I have a coolant leak that I'm having a problem pin pointing. It's only once maybe twice a week I'll have a 12" wet spot of coolant on the ground only after the truck has sat overnight 12+ hrs. Has not leaked while parked at work 8hrs. and has not leaked while running. I been checking daily for any wetness when i get home.
This has happened about six times in the last month and seems to be getting worst when it leaks.
Its on the drivers side front leaking onto the power steering pump then onto the track bar bracket and frame cross member. These areas have a whitish dried coolant residue on them.
I changed the t-stat and upper hose a few months back and all is nice and clean and dry around these areas with no whitish residue.
I pulled the air cleaner assembly for a better look without any luck in finding a dried up whitish coolant trail.
When these water pump start to go is it likely to have a occasional leak only overnight.

whitish coolant usually means u got oil in the coolant. it might mean a busted oil cooler, and if ur gonna change out the oil cooler, better to change out the egr cooler. cos the way the coolant circulates is tat it goes thru the egr cooler 1st b4 going thru the oil cooler.
hence, if ur oil cooler is busted, chances are ur egr cooler is gonna be messed up.

tats cool. i knew i might've missed something. my bad. i'm glad cheezit caught it.
imagine wat would've happened if i sent a guy on the path to redemption thru new parts? he'll stand a chance of getting updated ford parts, bunch of aftermarket mods, etc. at his expense. now tats a shocker!
and his truck is gonna be one of the prettiest and the sleekest for miles around..... and it'll be my fault.....
all the while, he never had tat problem, but given the whole bunch of mods i'm gonna recommend, it might distinctly get fixed in the process.
