Daytona 500

Alright guys,

It's that time of the year again, who's everyone cheering on?

As always I'm Behind Roush Racing:
Biffle, Kenseth, Edwards, Bayne, and Steinhouse

I have always been a fan of Richard Petty and car #43 no matter what make or model of car it was on. As long as the #43 is associated with Petty I will root for it and whoever might be driving it and whatever make of car it may be.

I like all the fords, but I guess Edwards(met him in person at our local dirt track),biffle, then Kennseth would be my top three. I am not even sure I will be watching the Daytona 500 this year now that they brought pack racing back. Not a fan of 43 cars driving around waiting for the last 20 laps to start racing and wrecking. Lower the spoilers, make the tires skinnier, and then they will have to get off the gas in the corners and DRIVE the cars like they are supposed to!! As far as fool injection, doesn't seem to make much of a difference so far.

I'll be rooting for Danica-----just to watch everyone else get all upset over her even in the race!

Besides who else looks as good as she does in a bikini and heels?

Really though I tend to hope against drivers: Little Bush crash out and DNF lap one, Tony Stewart hopefully following him behind the wall soon too. Mark Martin would be my sentimental favorite and he's still got some racin' in him!

Would also like to see Juan Pablo Montoya win---he's a racer, not afraid to push and poke when necessary. Since NASCAR has sat on Kesolowski and Cousin Carl it won't be so exciting----then again maybe Richard Childress has enough money left over to once again whup Littel Bush's tail in the garage area. Am I the only one who sent Richard a $25 check and letter saying it was to help defray his fine?

Regardless who wins the emerging technology will be interesting to watch. Supposedly they've found a way to make tighter racing, less of the two-by-two stuff we saw last year.

Above all else I hope for repeated in-car camera looks at Danica---wonder if she'll be putting on lipstick or mascara during caution laps? In all seriousness though hope ALL the drivers are okay---good racin' is great, when they all come back unhurt its a nearly perfect day!

Bad thing is Stewart now owns Eldora Speedway here in my home state---one of the most awesome dirt tracks ever! Just something about that guy.........

Carl Edwards. I think it's his year. Of course, Stewart is a damn good racer. The way he won last season was epic. So Edwards will hopefully get a little more aggressive this season.

Ehh...I hate to say this in a Ford-based forum, but I'm gonna: I want to see Kurt Busch do well this whole season. Ok, now stop spitting on your monitor, because I happen to like both Kurt and James Finch, and if you haven't hated me enough yet, I also like Kyle and Robby Gordon. If you still haven't quit reading, here's why: I HATE racers that get out of their car, take a fake sip of their sponsors soda and blab out a well-rehearsed thank you to all 62 of their sponsors, then finish it off by thanking God for his help. Like The Almighty really cares how they ran tonite...puh-leeze. I like to see racers act like racers, " ...yeah, I did it on purpose, and I'll do it again next week if that *@&%$ has the ***** to try it again!..."
