Haven't posted much in a long time, but thought I'd jump back in on my stalled project after a VERY long hiatus. I started on this a few years ago but had to stop for several reasons, home remodel, garage addition, kids in college, work issues....the list goes on. Anyway, here's some pictures of some recent progress.
The chassis is a 79 F-150 4x4. Engine has been changed over from a 351m to a 351w and C-6. Everything else is pretty much standard issue FoMoCo.

I'll get some more up soon. Darn job keeps interfering with FUN! It's just about ready to be hauled to the muffler shop for some nice pipes. Just waitin on some parts.


Modifying mounts for Windsor engine.

 

I looked at your bio page but Im still not sure which truck you have in the albums you are talking about here. Looks like from those pics you have some pretty solid trucks.

 

Well, this 64 is in the albums, but it's been a long time since I updated anything. The album's called 'Garage Queen'. This truck is a 64, but it'll be on this 79 chassis....eventually.
The 86 was stolen a while back and the Jerks set it on fire. I sure didn't have much to drag home. Running gears okay, but the body is 'toast'. The 89 is an 'old man's' creampuff I found.

 

Got the exhaust run the other day. The guy managed to get the drivers side past the transfercase, just like I hoped. The BBK Mustang shorties worked out real good, almost like they were made for this 351W transplant, only needed minor tweeking. Nobody makes headers for this app.

 

Overall shot of engine and frame. Finally got the compresser brackets made and the 3G alternator mounted. Nobody makes a "low mount" kit for SB Fords. Gotta do your own.
