Help me find waterpump, flathead 6
Guys, along with getting my flathead motor I soon to find out that the waterpump is shot, I called a few auto shops and also a early ford parts shop, anyways early ford shop called and told me didnt have any but found one for $175 +$50.00 for a core charge, this $200 waterpump is a reman... Anyone have one that works ? I could maybe buy one cheaper then $175, or should I try and fix my up ?? But its a 49 ford f1 flathead 6

Cody,
I just checked out Rock, just like DW suggested. It's probably the cheapest you're going to find. You can also check Job Lot Auto in NY, they list pumps for earlier Ford 6 cylinders, they might also car your. They also list rebuild kits.
If your pump is in pretty good condition but has worn bushing and seals you could piece a kit together if you have a place local that sells bearings. My neighbor has rebuilt pumps on his flathead V8s by buying parts from a local bearing distributor, Bearings Inc.
