Need pictures of your flat bed/custom bed

i am building a 96 f150 up and the bed i have now is well...... more work to fix then what its worth to me. so i am thinking of having some fun with it and possibility building a new bed for it but i am not sure on how it would look. got any pics out there for me???

i plan on using her to haul my quad, load it with gear to go camping, go to the salvage yards to pick up parts so i need something that is durable.

Buy a cheap 4x8 trailer and bolt that on in place of the bed

I would do something like that GMC. Make a metal frame out of metal and plank it with 2 by pressure treated wood. I wouldn't do all that diamond plate at the back though.

The only problem with the 4x8 trailer is it's not wide enough. You can go 6'6" wide or so with a true flatbed.

You know, flatbeds only appeal to certain odd-ball types. Put a "wanted" ad on Craigslist. I did and got a reply in 3 days. I figured it was well worth $200.00 I didn't even have the truck to put it on yet. Ended up with this 94 short bed so I'll have to shorten the flatbed a couple feet but that's no biggie. What I'm trying to decide now is how much to raise it up off of the frame rails.

It's a 6' x 8'

I set it on a parts truck to get it off the trailer. Just won't look right on a short bed unless it's shortened.

The ones below are from just searching flatbeds to decide what I wanted. I'm not a fan of all wooden flatbeds.
