After my run through the Appalachians we had to stop and put new blades on (boy was that a PAIN - 10 degrees and the lock mechanisms were froze solid). I put on a set of the Bosh blades and they work just fine. I need to get a spare set and keep them with me on trips like that, same for the tire chains, shovels, and 2x4's Nothing worse than getting stuck and seeing out of the window is no good for hours of driving.

It’s amazing what you can get yourself out of with a shovel.
It might take a while but it’s better than nothing.

I got my truck stuck for the first time on my farm back in December and was glad I had one or I would have been in trouble.
These ContiTracs turned into racing slicks after a few rotations and the truck wasn’t going anywhere.
It took me an hour and I’ll admit I was getting nervous towards the end.
One of those areas where cell service doesn’t exist, yet.

I almost threw my self control to the wind the following week to get some Nitto Trails but decided to keep wearing these down.

I don't want to hijack this thread too much, but yes a shovel helps. I had one (just one, and just enough) a couple years ago. We buried my 1/2 ton chevy in a 3-4 foot snow drift. The frame rode up on the snow and that was that. We got out, about an hour later....

Read my signature - I believe the demise of my 2010 had something to do with the continental tires. They don't work too well on slick roads. I thought the same thing as you - let them wear down some. I was planning to get better tires, and knew they were crap going in... I guess I should have used my better judgement. Oh well. Can't fix it and I got another truck. I hope your bad luck stays there in the field with the tires in the dirt and not in the air

Hijack over.

If I remember correctly, 60 to 70 bucks. I've never had a wiper clean this good.

Do you remember which blades you bought? They show Silblade, UniBlade, and FlexBlade. I was looking at the Icons but I'm curious about these now after seeing your post.
