You are dealing with the internet saleman right? By doing so, you cut-off $3000-$3500 off MSRP off the bat. One must deal with the internet guy and not reg reg salesman! Then look at rebates and finacing incentives. I grew-up in an Old's dealership and thus, always a GM guy. Ford is way better interior. Looks will prove my point here. I had an 08' XL reg cab manual windows. Traded-up, with a car I didn't use, for a 2011 Scab Lariat. The 5.4L was way underpowered. Love the 6.2L with new tranny. Just not when I travel on bad city roads. The only advantage GM provides is IFS. I've never ridden in one so, I don't know if it's actually that much better of ride. I do also have a 1998 S10 w/ 119,000 mile. The engine= flawless. The tranny is maybe 60-70%. Decent quality overall. Ford, engine and tranny are new so, ?? But, the old GM is old. Perhaps new is better? I do know that my front-end doesn't lower an inch with a 1000lb + V-plow. The ***-end sags a little with heavy loads but, I've had 4000lbs+ on HWY and still feels safe. Even my XL was nice interior. Look at tire differences b/w the Ford models. That's important. Stock tire usually suck but, you may be able to find less sucky ones. Perhaps they have 2011 models leftover and a better deal. Look at Ebay too. You may find something close to you and a good deal. No way $4000 more for a GM w/o the gooseneck and whatever else you mentioned. Ford is much better interior. I do miss my rubber floor. Again, make sure you are talking to the internet guy. He will start you at 3-3500 off MSRP. Let us know which way you went and what kind of deal you got.

Thank you. Very helpful. I do see the Internet guys seem to start with lower pricing. Thanks for the other comments too.
