Wise guy...lol. (though he has looked up the fix details for me...lol)

I found it myself...bad wheel bearing on the right hand side. Hub was hot after a cruise around town for about 30 minutes or so. That said, I gotta back out of the long ride this weekend. Gonna miss seeing you guys, but this wheel bearing doesn't have a 460+ mile round trip in it, I don't think. Better safe than sorry.

It is what it is, Charlie...I'll get it fixed up and we'll be back in business for the next trip. In the meantime, I'll drive as little as possible and get some other stuff accomplished and make the best of the situation.

Destroying a junk box spring down in the garage gave me a whole zen sense of perspective on the matter lol.

 

No other vehicles/ people you can hitch a ride with?

The closest one might be Archion, but he has another commitment this weekend.

 

Yeah, bummer it didn't work out but I didn't expect to blow a wheel bearing either. Good thing I found it bumping around town as opposed to on the interstate.

LOL @ out past where God lives...some have referred to this as God's country though. 60 miles or so east of Pittsburgh in the mountains...but I go anywhere.

Got the wheel bearing fixed Tuesday night...might still make it. Going to go over it tonight and see if all is well.
