Selling a tuned/deleted truck

I have never had any problems with dealerships accepting my previously mod'd trucks or cars. Most dont worry about it. They know with the price right they will get it sold to someone who doesnt do their homework or seem to knowledgable enough to care. I was offered a handsome price for my truck when i was in a finanical slump and i have some custom work done. Egr delete and striaght pipe with 4 inch. But decided to keep it.

In the case of these 6.4L diesels I would much rather buy from someone who had deleted the DPF provided he could convince me he wasn't running a Spartan 350 tune and drag racing. But that's because I know a lot more about the 6.4 than I did when I bought mine. I guess it would depend who your target market was. If I was trading it in I would return to stock, looking for a private party sale I would leave it modified and give the customer the option. Once a person understands the DPF technology it's not hard to explain why the DPF will be in the truck bed when they pick the truck up.

I guess if I can't sell it then I will keep it as the tow vehicle. I got rid of the dpf/cat taking up space in garage and not wanting to lug it around. I plan to keep it for another 5 yrs. It is paid for so not killing me with anything now except upkeep
I will eventually move to my 10 acres and build a house so I will have plenty of room to keep it lying around with the utility trailer, boat, and TT.
Maybe then I can get back into a sporty sedan that might get me into lots of trouble.
