I have a F350 PSD, crewcab, 4wd. I installed the Banks Stinger setup and am pretty pleased with it so far. However, I am still only getting about 14 to 15 mpg. From what I am seeing on this forum I am at the low end of everyone on this. Have been thinking about installing an air induction system. Anyone know if this will improve milage? Also, Is anyone familiar with Banks to know if their chip is compatable with the super chip I have been reading about here? thanks for any help guys.

Tell us a little more about your truck.
What exactly does the Banks Stinger Kit consist of? If it doesn't include a different intake system, I'd suggest a TYMAR. It'll help your truck breathe better, let your turbo start to build boost at a lower rpm, and you'll love the ability to hear your turbo. It will also compliment other mods, which when combined, will help your mpg.
What size tires are you running? If they're oversized, the difference in height will cause the speedometer/odometer to understate your speed/mileage. You might be getting better mpg than you think.

Are you asking if the Banks ottomind chip will run in conjunction with a superchip, then no. If the question is can I run a superchip with the stinger system instead of the ottomind, then yes.

What rear end do you have on your truck? If you have the 4.10 that would explain the lower mileage.

Using only the low box on my truck (4.10 rear) I get about 14.3 mpg if I take it easy. Hard driving in the low box gives me about 13. By engaging the high box, the ratios change to about 3.15 rear, and I get about 16.7 reasonable freeway drivieng, and nearly 18 below 60. The one thing that effects my fuel economy more than anything else, is low oil, or old oil - that gives me about 11 at highway speeds.

The '02 has 3.73 rear, and gets about 16.5 freeway.

I'm running stock 265's for tires, for now. The Stinger comes with the ottomind performance chip, new 4" exhaust and freeflow muffler, bigger waste gate and a trans command to firm up the shifting. I don't know what gears are in it. This is my first diesel so I'm learning all kinds of new stuff. I thought about going to a new intake and have been looking. I can't seem to find the tymar anywhere. can anyone tell me more about the superchip? is it just a tuner or both? I'm new to this website but I have to tell ya, I've learned more from you guys and had more questions answered than i have anywhere else. thanks!
