Well the saga continues...

I pick up my truck, drive it 60 miles, it runs like a champ as usual, I park it shut it off, turned the key and it started. A little hard, but it started. Why?

Thank you m-chan, I really am genuine when I say I mean no foul. Where ever you are a master, I hope they appreciate you. I would love for you to look at my truck.

Cause you still have a HPO Leak

It will only get worse from here on out

I would get that STC Fitting changed ASAP you dont want it to Blow out and crack the rear cover of the moter

You will really be having a BAD Day then if that rear cover gets cracked then the Moter is coming out

Like any seal leak, it can vary in volume as the seal material moves around under pressure and vibration.

Hot Oil is thinner vicosity so if you have a leak the Hot Oil just runns out to Fast and cant build the pressure to start

If I can interject into a master techs explanation, do yourself a favor and get a 12mm gear wrench for the 2 valve cover bolts under the hvac. Your quality of life will be greatly improved.

Fix it myself or ford?
Any roughs on cost?
Easy or hard to fix...depending?
Did you find a reliable shop? I am having the same problem in the S.NH area?

It might help to go to your state FTE chapter and ask for suggestions. You might even be able to find a good dealership to help you.

Thank you. Since that post I have looked into a shops mentioned several times on FTE and confirmed from other sources that it was a top notch recommendation. My truck is going to MassDiesel on Tuesday. Will post on experience when complete
