4spd manual trans F150 4x4 300-6

What manuals would they have used behind a 300-6 in an 86 F150?

They put the RUG box in the 4x4's?

The NP would be the 435 right? What about the BW?

Do you know the door codes off the top of your head?

I'm looking at a parts truck, trying to see if it's worth my time. I want the clutch setup, especially if it's hydraulic, but if it's a decent 4spd I might run it in my 250 till I get a ZF.

New Process 435
Borg Warner T-18

I go this info from Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market. They list the 4 speed overdrive as available in a 4x4 version, but that's not necessarily fact if you cannot verify it somewhere else.

My understanding is that the hydraulic linkage was not used until after '86. I may be wrong, but....

It was used in '86 Gary. My truck has it. My bad, I went back and reread what you said. My truck is 100% hydraulic til the bell housing.

I sit corrected. But, that's why I gave so many caveats. Anyway, now we know.

From what I've heard 83-86 was hydraulic but that's just what I've heard. I have no way of verifying it. My 83 was mechanical but it was also the last year of the F100 so it may have been a change over year and they were using up parts.

Cool! Wish I had a catalog like that. Oh wait! I do. Wish I knew how to use a catalog like that.

Seriously, I could find it. But you seem to have it down pat and it would take me some time to do the same. Good job.
