I'm curious about the Allen bolts too. You would think over time If they rusted like a factory bolt does they would strip out way easier than a hex ....

I have found it much easier to tight the bolts with allen head vs a 5 point bolt. getting heat treated 12point bolts is difficult that would fit being so close to the header tubes unless you pay the big bucks for the locking units.

So driver side with studs on the outside holes of the manifold worked well. Passenger side went like crap. ended up pulling the plastic fender well out and using studs on every hole, then sliding the manifold over the studs and slowly using the nuts to pull the sucker on straight. glad thats over. still waiting on my explorer injectors to finish up the top end.... Thanks for your help guys

What's the gain using Explorer injectors? i heard it's because they're better technology. Do they feed the same pressure?. Also Explorer injectors are the same on the V6 and V8?.

there a 4 pintle spray design, compared to the stock broncos injectors they "mist"the fuel in better. There's a video on YouTube I think. There Called Bosch type 4 , I think. There are quite a bit of posts do a search, easy gains for 100 bucks. hopefully.....

Yikes on the 90 each! I ebay-ed mine from a a very nice guy lucky7injectors i think was the name. I ordered wrong initially and got the 99+ which have a rounder plug for the harness. I sent them back and he got me a flow matched set for the 96-98 explorer 5.0 no extra charge. Just finally got it all back together tonight and took it for a quick drive. Seemed snappier but i was more concerned with listening for exhaust leaks and checking other things. The factory manifolds seems to have sealed back up just fine with the chassis grease method. I do have a small leak at the stupid egr tube. Ill post some details in the next few weeks. last recorded milage was 12.89 75% highway. Now ive done injectors and a new o2 sensor we will hopefully be up toward the 15 mark highway..

Got some studs from Fastenal and so far they work great, been driving for 5 days now with no leaks. I did pull out the fender well out of the driver side for better access. Next on the mileage improve list will be the headers and y pipe. This summer hopefully. Thanks for the help
