Well, I finally did it. I placed my order today for a 2012 f150 with the following:

That was how it was ordered. They are going to see if they can add the retractable running boards. If not, I will do it myself.

They said they would trade out the tires from the Perillis to what ever I want as long as there isn't a large price difference.

Suggestions please.

Finally they will add the trailer to mirrors for around $400.00. I could do it my self for a lott cheaper. I willl see how I like the orignals first. I have the trailer tow mirrors on my 250 and don't know if I can live without them.

By the way the x-plan is $44605.21 plus I am getting another $3500.00 off that with rebates. They said that if the rebates are better when it arrives I will get those instead, but won't loose the current one.

I have all this written and signed by the head sales manager.

Congrats on ordering the new truck! Now the long wait begins. Did they give you an estimated time for delivery?

They said the order is placed and Ford should get it tomorrow. Apparently they placed an order for x amount of f150's last week. They only get so many alotments. They are going to try to add it to last weeks order, but may not be able to be picked until next weeks order. I forget the term he used for that.

The bottom line is he said it would be 6-8 weeks before it arrived. If someone tell me how, I will gladly post pictures. I found it helpfull looking at pics when I researched everything. The least I can do is returne the favor.

 

Very nice build! Please let us know if you get the electric running boards as I am interested in that as well.

Btw, no tailgate step?

 

I hope it doesn't. I forgot to check out that aspect. I hope it isn't part of the plus package.

 

Hey Chris, just a little heads up, did you know that on the f150 online website there is a guy that will track your truck? He tells you the week it is scheduled, then will give you the actual build date, Then he will track it to the dealer and tell you when it reaches your dealers lot.
