New Truck! UPDATES!

I recently had a deal fall through on an F450 that leads me to this, I bought a 2000 F350 Crew Cab V10 2wd today with 160,000 on it formerly used as a rail-road truck and VERY well maintained. The interior is not too bad for being a work truck and the ac works! I plan on removing the PTO, Track wheels, the large heavy brand new 19.5 inch wheels and doing an 05 front end conversion once spring hits. I will add more pics later but here it is!

Looks like it. Kind of surprising that they left all that equipment on there, especially the track wheels. I've seen a few of these trucks for sale before but they all had that stuff removed.

They removed one wheel at each corner so you cant do that But It would be cool! They guy I bought it off of had 17 of them this was the last of them! He had a few with the service boxes on them that were diesel 4x4 but those went for 5,000 each I paid 3500. One owner fleet maintained

What are you going to do with all the track equipment? Send it to the scrap yard?

Not saying you didn't get a good deal, but 5 grand for a 4x4 with a 7.3 would be hard to pass up.

I'll either try to sell it all or haul it to the scrap yard that stuff has got to be very heavy. I'd also like to do away with those again heavy 19.5 rims. But the tires hsbe about 2,000 miles on them so they will do for now

My first thought was that equipment. I'd bet it has value to someone even if its junk to you. Great find! I could see that equip paying for new wheels? maybe. Congrats!

Nice find. I agree. That could be worth a lot of scrap or sell for parts

Well today was the first not rainy cold day out so I was able to do a little removal. I removed all the junk from the bed. Tool box, (cracked and leaks) , headache rack and about 5 miles of old wiring used for the PTO and pumps. I changed the trans fluid and filter and found out I have a newer transmission hence the no TQ drain plug. I have also removed the running boards and got some aftermarket OE looking wheels! I will post more pics tomorrow! Now I can remove all the PTO lines and cooler from the truck and deal with the coolant lines that ran to the Hydraulic oil tank. I will add new pics as things get taken off and added!
