I've already got my coupon's printed and ready to redeem. I hope they don't give me any grief. It's also a good time to get try some Mobil 1 (good for any synthetic from what I read).

Thanks. Has anyone tried this at walmart yet? Will they honor it even though the t6 is only available in gallon jugs. Will they even honor an autozone coupon?

 

Of all the posters in the thread on the .Org only one was denied. Most of the cashiers probably won't even notice.

Too bad the nearest Wal-Mart is 150 miles away. It wouldn't be worth the cost of fuel for a special trip just to get oil.

 

Well, if you find a person working that doesn't pay attention to the coupons and Walmart's rules on coupons, you could get this deal. If not, you wont.

Here is what WalMart rules says:

We DO NOT accept the following coupons:

Checkout coupons
Dollars/cents off the entire basket purchase
Percentage off the entire basket purchase
Print-at-home Internet coupons that require no purchase

Competitors' coupons
Dollars/cents off at a specific retailer

Percentage off
Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons without a specified price
Double- or triple-value coupons

 

I don't see that any of these rules apply to these particular coupons though, Sean although there aren't any 5 qt jugs of synthetic diesel oils that Wal Mart carries anymore. I know the Mobil1 5W40 comes in qts so it should be possible to get $10 off 5 qts of that. You just have to have enough coupons. The $5 of 5qt jugs of motorcraft 15W40 make for a pretty sweet deal too.

 

I down-loaded and printed out the Autozone oil coupons yesterday and went to Walmart. I had no problem with Walmart accepting the coupon. I used the $5 coupon for Rotella 15W40, regular price $12.97 per gallon; 4 gallons....$20 savings. (Long Island, NY)

 

The local Wal-Mart refused my coupons, but it was worth a try.

 

I wouldn't consider this to be a bad thing.
