based on my personal experience i will have to say air conditioning. admittedly i live in a fairly cool climate but even with all my traveling i have only seen a handful and have only owned one and for me that is unusual. hawkrod
I would have to say Radiator Core Support. These are prone to rust, not reproduced in aftermarket, easily damaged in wrecks, difficult to remove and very hard to find. One of these in the original box was for sale at Pigeon Forge last year for 600.00. I'll bet he got it!
I've managed to scrounge the A/C, the rad support, and the Merc tailgate. The most elusive part in my restoration is the weatherseal for the in-box tool compartment.

sorry, you made me go look! it is a quarter panel end trim for a 64 ford. they are only used on the cars with full length body side trim like a galaxie. hawkrod

I have to agree with both 6T6 merc and William the seal for the tool box door still eludes me and I went through three trucks to find a solid rad support, and had to pay big to get a good one. Eric
I have a good radiator core support I haven't actually started to look for parts yet, as I am just finishing the gutting of my parts truck this week. So hopefully this weekend my truck will be road worthy Then it's off to see how much the insurance peeps want to stick me for
