SMOG Problems? Not me!!!
Just gotta post up a WOOO HOOO! I just bought a clean 96 F350 CC 4X4 with a 460 E4OD and 140k on the odometer. Took it to get smogged and was a bit worried buying it without the smog already done (I'm in Cali) he said it will pass NO PROBLEM. Well here are my #'s
25 mph 1805 RPM
%C02 15.2
%02 0.0
HC 0
CO% 0.00
NO(PPM) 5
15MPH #'s are about the same. Seems like a good running 460 and am happy it passed. It has Amsoil in it and I believe it has most of its life. The trans seems to shift crisper than my buddies 97 so fingers crossed that it has been gone through at some point in the 140k miles.
Plans are to go no bigger than 35's, been looking at the super duty V code spring/shackle for up front. 4.56's and a huge trans cooler for starters see how she tows and go from there.
Has a 5th wheel hitch in the bed and that is what I plan on using it for. I will put some pics in my gallery or in this thread if I can figure it out.

Yes it is a mass air truck. I have been looking for a long time and found tons of beat, high mile, clapped out trucks but as soon as I saw this one I jumped on it and so glad I did. I plan on bringing it to the house this weekend and messing with it so I will get some pics up.

Mass air 460s are a mythical truck.... We need pics to know they are real.
What's the ecu code. I'd love to convert one of mine to massair just cause I drive it so much.

No myth I have owned 3. No idea on the meter size but I am sure it is out on the web someplace. I am pretty sure 96-97 CA were all mass air but It seems to me right out of the box a speed density truck I had had more seat of the pants power.

Got a lot done on it this weekend, took off the old man style running boards and fixed the fron of the bed that had been smashed into the back of the cab, main reason I got a pretty good deal on it.
