How much off sticker should I get on a 2012 SD?

How much off sticker should I get on a 2012 SD?

Was kind of just browsing what they had online and was curious as to what everyone is paying for their newer Super Duty's. There is a really nice F350 Lariat at my lot for 51,000 (gas). Our incentives are kind of weak at the moment. Gas SD incentive is only 2500, the diesel gets 4500. I'd also get 500 for being currently enrolled in college classes. When I bought my 09 F250, the sticker was roughly 50,000 and I got approximately 10,000 off the MSRP. This was during "employee pricing plus", wasn't sure if I should expect 10K off this time around or not. What number should I shoot the dealer with as my initial offer?

I bought my 2011 F-250 SD Diesel CC Lariat in Sept 25 2010 the list price was $55,550.00 and I bought it for $42,500.00... The best time to buy is at the end of the month, the dealer is trying to push his sales up for his Bonus from Ford.. Just be sure to check the fuel tank size.. In the 2011 with a short bed you got a 26 gallon Tank, long bed was around 37-50 gal, not sure now if it was a 37 or a 50 gal tank. I heard that Ford may change that on the 2012... I got the 3:31 rear-end and love the fuel Mileage. I only tow a 8,500 # RV trailer loaded and get 16-17.5 MPG with no wind or hills and don't even know the trailer is behind me. Empty I have gotten 27.5 MPG at 55-60 usually at 65 I get 22-24 MPG empty... Ford was taking another $1000.00 off the price if you wrote them on line asking for information on the F-250 SD Diesel...
I run the factory 18"wheels that came on my truck.. The guys that are running the larger tires lost most of the good mileage.... I love this Truck, now have 17,665 miles and the only problem I had was a bad drivers door seal, Ford fixed it...

Bought my 2011 King Ranch Diesel 250 the week before Christmas. It was a demo with 5800 miles. I think the sticker on it was something like $62K. My brother in law works at dealership so I got employee/family pricing, whatever that means. I'm the owner's veterinarian so I supposedly got something off for that, and there was a liner and box in the back that they threw in. I think my drive out price was somewhere around 47K and that included an extended warranty.

Sounds like you got the kind of discount I'd be looking for. if I could get ~10K off I would pull the trigger.

That TMV site is not very encouraging for me. On a truck with a MSRP of 52545, it lists the TMV of 49667. The 10K off my last truck was the reason I ended up getting that particular truck. I actually went in to buy a new Dodge Ram Mega Cab, but they were only offering 1500 off the MSRP, total, absolutely nothing more. Ford offered me 10K off on my F250SD and I don't regret buying it. Great truck but wouldn't mind an upgrade.

I guess I'll go in near the end of the month and try talking some numbers with the sales people and see what happens.

Walk ins -10% off easy, 15% off gatta haggle. Easiest way -get on the ford website build your truck, locate one in your area and let the dealer contact you with an "internet price" mine stickered for 65 with an internet price 53. all you need to do is go in take a test drive sign the papers and leave in your new truck.
I dont know about you but I have better things to do than spending my day in a dealers showroom.

Are you after a F-250 SD or a F-350 Diesel or a Gaser? If you live near Dallas, Houston or San Antonio, Texas watch the Saturday and Sunday news papers Ads.. The 2012 haven't been out all that long yet and still new to everyone.. My Truck has just about all the extras it can handle except 4 wheel drive... But the new 2012's has one new feature I'd love to have and that is 4 way elect adjustable head rest on the Lariat and up models..

i apologize for the thread hijack...

wonder why the diesels tanks were smaller than the gas trucks? my brother has the 2011 diesel shortbed and his is a 26 where i have the 2011 gas shortbesd and mine is a 36. both are extended cabs. reading the post made me wonder why... maybe cause mine gets 13mpg highway vs his 20+?????

again, i apologize for the hijack.

16-17.5 mpg maybe i can see, 27.5 on a SD??.....no way.....22-24 ???downwind, downhill, no throttle???? Heck at those mpg I'd buy a new one..

I know it sounds far fetched and I had trouble believing it myself but remember my Truck is stock, 2 wheel drive, traction control off, factory 18" all season tires, no lifts, 3:31 rear-end gears, no stop and go traffic, on a state highway late at night, with no traffic lights and tires set at 70 # rear and 60 # front and a hard shell bed cover.. I have tried to accomplish it again but on the interstate and drive a longer distance but at 55 people become up set.. The test I did was late at night and didn't have to stop to turn around and only slowed down to make a loop around town heading back home to fuel up and check it out at fill up.. I know of this 26 mile stretch between little farm towns with only one caution light between towns... It is amazing what mileage you can get with this Super Duty with the 6.7 Diesel under ideal conditions and keep your foot out of it and no jack rabbit starts.. One thing for sure is I can never get that mileage in the winter using winter grade diesel fuel... My last tank I hardly got 18 MPG average for the tank, but we did have some colder weather here in south Texas the past couple weeks... If you drive them right and equip them right, stay stock they will produce the MPG for you! I think she can even do better if I can find a long distance...

The difference between the Lie-O-Meter as you call it and Hand Calculated is the amount of Idling time you have done on current tank of fuel. Checking mine it appears to be off .5 to1 depending on how much idling time I had at stop signs and red lights! In my test I had filled up and headed out on to highway and drove my 52 miles and refueled at same service station on returning home with no idling time, so my Calculated and Lie-O-Meter were reading the same.. This was when I discovered why the difference in fuel mileage between the two readings...
