New arrival F450 Cab & Chassis

For those who know me, this truck arrived a couple weeks ago. Just getting around to the new arrival announcement This pic was taken last week. She is now in the Redding body shop for a "steak" dump body with ladder rack and side boxes. I ordered this XL with a few things that you wont find on the fleet trucks on the dealer lots;
  • Sync; for hands free connection to my phone and music and comes with steering wheel controls
  • ESOF; beats the hell out of locking/unlocking in the snow
  • Cruise control, power windows, power heated mirrors,
  • XL decor package
  • Prefered equipment group
  • Rapid supplmental heater
  • XL value package
  • Remote start
  • Wheel simulators
The other options are standard issue, like snow plow prep, dual alt, 16,500 GVW, Upfitter switches and brake controller. Love these trucks!!

Nice.
Do you plan to throw your two keys in a bowl and grab one each morning to see which truck you end up driving?

I think they're just chrome caps over the grey steel.

Cabindoc, really nice looking trucks. Wanna come to sc and build me a log cabin home?

It has the same horsepower (~400), however it's rated differently. Diesel trucks over a 14,000lb GVWR go through a different dyno procedure and rating process. Therefore, it gets listed as 300hp.

It's the same with gas engine trucks. I forget if it's 8500lb GVWR or 10,000lb GVWR for the cutoff, but you'll see the HP/TQ rating drop on the gas trucks once they reach that GVWR, even though nothing has actually changed.

Im not doubting what you say, but can you point me to somewhere its put on paper saying this? My dealer kinda shrug's their shoulders when I ask them about the hp difference.
I had in mind to buy a dually and remove the bed to get the higher hp, but in doing that I would lose a few wanted items, like the flat frame and that second fuel tank.
