How does it fit in the back mount holes? Does it hit the seat? Do you reverse the stick?
In our last truck with the lokar shifter, a 66 chevy, we had to go to bucket seats.. but as it was sons truck, not a big deal, as he hated the bench seat.
the cable based shifter, floor or tranny mount is the only way to do this 'easily' with a bench seat.
I got it to work today. I moved the shifter lever until the length was the same in park and 1st. I made a new rod and it worked. It shifts smooth from park to 1st.
The only problem is the shifter lever is high when in park. The boot wont cover that far back. So I have to make a bump in the floor or get a really big boot.
I did snap a pic for you....After reading through this thread, I'd have to go back out to find out which mounting holes I ended up using, but that is OBE now.
it looks like the shifter arm is not in line with the shift lever. that angle can usually be set. now to make those two line up.. you might have to move the shifter back even further.. or the rod could be shortened a little.
If I move the lever down then I have the issue with the rod length being different in park than it is in 1st.
I would like to move it down if i could. Then I wouldn't have to hump the floor.

I think if u move the assembly back further, then the arm can come down AND have the rod be the same length in all gears
of course, the more u move it back, the riskier it gets to collide with the seat.
Ok, so now it's done correctly. I called Lokar and found out that I could just move the shifter lever down and it still have it work.
Now I just have to patch up the floor panel... gotta step up my welding skills!
Wow those linkages (both of you guys) are at a hard angle. Those heim joints look just about maxed out! This is what Lokar had designed?
Glad to hear you got it working tho, smallello. Persistance pays..
It's not as bad as the camera angle makes it look...the heim bearings were past the limit, so the rod needed a little bend. The Lokar detents match the C6 detents from park through low...even the neutral safety switch should work when I finish the wiring.
