The new ford at work for plowing snow needs a mirror on passenger side. The insurance adjuster said it would cost 1070.00. Mirrror has power adjustment, heated, directional lights . Too much stuff for me. I wonder what the King Ranch chrome ones cost? plowking
a couple weeks ago in the middle of no where I pulled off the road to shoot a coyote. when I got back in the truck I failed to see that I pulled up next to one of those metal road reflectors that stick up. this caused me to brush the top of it with my right tow mirror causing the bottom the plastic housing to break. in case you ever wondered where the sensor is for the temperature gauge its in the right mirror, I found this out when I unplugged a wire that was now dangling out the bottom of the housing.
anyways I have brushed things in the past with these mirrors but its been very minor as they stick out a long ways. called up my local dealer and with repair shop discount its $460 to replace the mirror, which is a great price as they go for over $600 on ebay. ouch thats expensive.
yes I got the coyote, goodness sakes but what about my precious made of gold tow mirror?? coyote hunting is my passion so its not like shooting one is all the big of a deal.
Seems like the 6.7 trucks are allergic to coyots, if I remember it right, it was not long after Randito done shooting a coyo that he lost a exhaust valve.

Yup, I feel your pain. I broke mine the day before Thansgiving 2010 and was thoroughly disgusted with the replacement cost. I ended up patching it up with Gorilla tape and never got around to replacing it when I traded it in.
Busted the passenger side mirror on mine backing out of the garage. (Insert joke about looking in your mirror here!) If I remember right, just the little chrome cap on the top of the mirror was another Benjamin or so added onto the cost of the mirror.
