Just ran the Diagnostic tool on my 2006 F350 need help with a code P0678
Just got the tool today and boy I wish I had it a few weeks ago replaced a lot of things on my truck spent a lot of money and time. So the code was P0678 cylinder #8 glow plug circuit.
Just before I go buying more stuff I don't need what is it that I need to fix my truck? I'm not sure if I just need to replace the glow plug or the circuit board? Also what are the best Glow plugs to buy for cold area where it drops down to -6 deg or colder like it did tonight?

Stock glow plugs are fine but you have to make sure you get the correct one. The wrong length glowplug can cause catastrophic failure.
There is a GPCM harness/glowplug/module test thread here somewhere that tells you how to ohm out each wire and glowplug so you don't needlessly waste money on parts.

Taking the fender liner out is the easiest way to get to them and be able to work with them. I recommend getting a glowplug harness for that side if you're going to remove it. They break very easily even with the harness removal tool.

Thanks know a good place to buy all these items? Or I'm I just going to have to get them from two places?

This is a picture i've found of the tool. It seems to pull up on either side of the glow plug "T". Or does it slot in right under the plug ?
On a side note, could i ask a favour from someone doing glow plugs. When the key is off and the glow plug connector is disconnected, could they check if they're getting any voltage to the plug ? For some strange reason i've been getting 10.5v but no current being drawn when back on the glow plug. (My truck is suffering from a no start problem, so more than likely got some wiring problems???)

I don't think it goes under the "T". It goes between the rocker box and the harness plug/seal, which is basically nothing but bakolite anyway. The seal has a tendency to fracture over time and part of it stays in the rockerbox when you pull the harness. Now THAT"S a pain in the ****......
