Check Fuel filter they look ok. I think I put in July due old one was leak on fuel cap.

It was installed at 213-214K miles and it had 221,876 miles now.

I forgot to add. I stop use E-Zoil Diesel Aid + Cetane about 4 refill tanks ago. I thought it could be issue. Diesel shop say IT BEST one so I follow.

But I notice brown on top metal fuel filter look like rust but if you touch it gone. I hope it not organism/bacteria like I saw in other F250.

That looks like there might be oil leaking by the turbo bearing seals. If you disconnect the downpipe and find oil in the turbo exhaust housing that is a sure sign that the bearing seals are leaking. I know it's a pain to get that downpipe clamp off but then you might find out where the oil is going.

This is how wet with oil the exhaust housing was after my turbo blew.

I've looked at all the post, haven't heard anyone mention the air filter. If that's plugged, it could cause most of the problems. hth's

It had 6637 air filter and crankcase vent hose aren't hook to intake hose cause it would drink oil more and fill inter-cooler full of oil soak.

That what I heard it pita to loose exhaust clamp on turbo. I think I going soak with pb blaster every day to soak it.

Should had explain better. That smoke go away if you drive like 2 mins. It not smoke all times. But at night time there were tiny smoke you couldn't see color but it make image blur.

Well 300 miles so I would say it definably use 2/2.8 quarts.

I ask my friend who had same truck like me but less mile 162K miles.

I told him I can't smell anything so he do for me. On cold start. blue smoke coming out. He say it so bad it stung his nostril and burn eyes. He couldn't describe if it was oil burn off. He say he almost choke when blue smoke in his nose. Only I can think is oil get burn out in cylinder to make that smell. I am thinking it compression wheel's seal failed to seal on cold material it leak oil. Or worst part it valve guide or injectors.

New used turbo arrived. It far in best condition. Had no play and it look cleaner. Still waiting for RiffRaff package to arrive so I can swap turbo.

Based on the sound in video, the smoke and the smell of the smoke, I would be doing a compression test personally. But I hope the turbo does it for you.

From what I feeling. It definably not compression. Those smoke are random. It used to smoke like that when I got. Then it doesn't smoke for 3 months then it smoke for 1 week then later. It like something that had issue but go away when you work on it and can't find it.

When smoke start coming back I notice there miss and lag acceleration for like 5 mins until you hammer it go away. but buzz test/contribution test pass 100% expect #8 that I replaced twice. It doing that on cold start only.

I was hoping it #3 or #4 injectors. but I know #4 is original 222K miles. 6 injectors not original.

But you have me thought of that. I plan plug block heater on Sunday then see if it still smoke. If no smoke then I suspect bad #3 or #4 injectors since AE scanner show cylinder verity.

im having a similar problem i think, my truck is a 2000 F350 7.3 stroker 6spd manual and i have done stacks, stock k & n air filter and i recently upgraded the impeller on the turbo, i gutted the ebpv as well, i have a utility body on it. i am getting ready to change the lpop due to it leaking but i keep up on my maintence vigorously, it has 257,500k and when i am shifting toward the end of the gear it powers down and blueish white smoke. i dont shift gears past 2500rpm cause thats just stupid any thoughts, considering to sell the truck to get a F550 same year within the next two to three years, could it be injector's it was a old DOT truck for georgia, mainly highway miles.
