You might consider one of the Edges' CTS engine monitor. I have one to monitor various engine parameters and they will also pull/clear the codes in our 7.3 PSD trucks.
I too like the AE, but it has many other uses and diagnostices.

What ever happened to the UltraGauge thingy?? It was a CTS-like monitor that was like $69, right?

I fergot about that one... What causes that???

I guess you already know this but for others searching, code scanners won't read for trucks over 8500 pounds GVWR. I have a ford 2500 year 2000 and my Napa Innova would not connect with the truck. I called Innova tech support and that is what they told me and also read it in a few other sites

I haven't read back through this old thread, but ScanGauge II, Torque app, Auto Enginuity and a few others work fine.

So, this comes from my PA emissions cert. Vehicles over 8500lbs are not required to have a standardized OBD system. Anything below 8500lbs has a standard system that the majority of code readers are set up for. Since 8500lbs and above are not required to have that, that is why normal code readers won't work on our trucks.
