Chevy runs deep because the frame is always dragging and they have sissy tires.

I think Ford should have come out with their own commerical with Dave pulling out chevy's somewhere else on the commerical.

Commenting how it must be nice to never get a call for help or something.

So, ford moved pretty fast on this one. they had filed a complaint with NBC and I think wiht one of the courts over false advertising. Durability, is the main issue.

First thing I said after seeing the commercial was, "Yeah, but can it do a barrel role?"

Well, I thought it was a clever commercial. Besides, if thats the end of the world, i'm going down with my Ford, they can keep their twinkies.

I agree. Nothing like hearing all the Chevy guys talking on my snowplow forum on how the Chevy has a higher weight ratin but then in the next sentence sayin they had to get timbrens or airbags to keep the front end from dragging on the ground. Or how you see the Chevy guys run with there blade almost touching the ground so there $50,000 truck don't overheat. Sign me up for on of those..............NOT!!!!

I thought it was a funny commercial. Made me chuckle. I wish Ford had not gone and made a big deal about it though. They should have bought a little ad time themselves and made something cool.

I'd like to see some sort of a simple response featuring actual owners, next to their trucks stating their current mileage. That would resonate better with me than some CGI, Michael Bay-esque, end of the world comedy crap.

Not a bad idea...just accross all model years old and young and the miles on the truck.

Just a week ago I exchanged some fueling tips with commercial hauler at truck stop.
Good news - he made 1 million miles on Ford Powerstroke before trading it in.
Bad news -he is driving RAM now.

Exactly. With so many of the guys in Super Dutys hitting 200k+, it just sells itself.

My dad had an 89 Tempo that clocked over 200k before an icy road and a not so cautious driver took it out of service permanently. The only thing he ever had to do to that car is put two new clutches in it.

As U.S. taxpayers we Ford owners just got our hand bit by GM. Furthermore as a Christian, my belief teaches a being of a higher power will determine the demise of this earth and not GM or three guys on Main Street sharing Twinkies.

I liked the commercial also. But it is funny that the only things left after the apocalypse were two bankrupt companies and maybe cockroaches.

Now let's keep this thread clean. We shouldn't be calling the Chevy boys "cockroaches"......
