So tried to use the heater this weekend and nothing. Now every time I drive some where the passenger side fogs up and it smells of antifreeze in the cab. Any suggestions??

Im pretty sure you can couple the ends together, but you will have no heat. If i was you i would just change the core, pretty easy to do

i just ordered the core from rockauto.com but it will take a few days to get in. but i will have to couple the ends for now because each time i start the truck it is dumping a fair amount of antifreeze on the ground from the heater/ac drain hose when i turn it off. and im tried of my window fogging up.

PS it looks like there is a fog machine in the dashon the passengerside

Don't you have to pull the dash to change the core?

Very simple to do I have done a couple, simply pull out the glove box and you will see about and 8x10 box with about 12 screws around it, pull those out and there it is it only cost about 26 bucks at napa or any parts house and its well worth that vs no heat!

Yes very easy, I have done a few myself. Just what ever you do DO NOT buy a core from Advanced, they last about 3 weeks before the solder joints come apart
