If the truck is local I would go over it with a fine tooth comb. It sounds like a nice low mileage truck. I would check out powerstroke help on youtube. He has a very good series on buying a used PSD.

Nah its like 2 hours away thats why im asking the guy all I can before I decide its worth the trip.

It was a southern truck 90% of its life, so its pretty rust free (came to NJ last year).

Truck is on ebay if you guys wanna look at rest of pics.

Tires are about 70%..but says needs nothing, runs 100% etc.

Would like to hear more opinions about value. Asked the guy if 20k was firm and he said "close"

I just looked at KBB and NADA and between 16,500.00 and 18,500.00 is a fair price. 20k seems a little on the high end for a 13 year old truck. Does he have any documentation of work performed to the truck? Expect that the truck has seen some heavy off-roading based on the tires etc. I would be hesitant to spend that kind of money on a truck you cant even test drive or hear run. I would try to take a trip out there and talk price based on the shape and not pictures Body work is very easy to hide in pictures as well as "hidden damage" and since there was an accident I would take a close look at the rear section of the truck. Thats just my 2 cents. I have been burned pretty bad on ebay deals before thats why I have my doubts.

I will take a trip out there. Im not commiting on a price, im just trying to hear opinions and stuff. Im gonna look at everything, test drive etc. Than again, alot of people buy these big tires and only use for street, doesnt mean 100% its heavy off roading. I was just asking him as much as I can before i took the trip.

I asked if he had any documents on previous work done and he said I dont but you can tell when you look/drive this truck no expense was spared. It was a trade in or something for his dealer.

I'd take $5K off that quote for all the lift and larger tires issues you are going to have. The tranny and front end aren't going to last long with all that.

I paid $4600 for my 2000 model
High mileage, needed some TLC and it is extended cab, but with custom (narrower) flatbed.

thanks sard for the advice!

Im asking him about previous history. Its listed at 4 owners, but it has very little miles on.
Most of the miles were from 2000-2003

From 6-2003 to 2-2007 it went from 51k to 77k..very little miles..
and from that 2-2007 to 12-2010 it went from 77k to 84k.

I am looking for a lifted truck..hoping I can talk him down more.

Wish he had paper work on stuff done etc, he got it from a trade in though.

have a look guys lmk what u think from all pics

I just realized how HUGE and WIDE those tires are! The front end will need to replaced more often as well as those tires and lift will cause the transmission to fail alot faster! I would check out the youtube channel He talks about how heavy over sized tires destroys wheel bearings as well as transmissions etc..

Well the good thing is, judging by the miles, those tires havent been put to much use, saving the tranny and front end. like I said

From 6-2003 to 2-2007 it went from 51k to 77k..very little miles..
and from that 2-2007 to 12-2010 it went from 77k to 84k.

tough decision. Its a nice truck, but the tires I would deff want to change, and fix the tilt the truck has
