I have a G2 on my 2011 350 LB and was happy until today. Just saw rust on a rivet which is near the cab, looks like the paint came off. I could easily remove the rust and repaint the rivet, but emailed BakFlip customer service to see what they say due to the fact it has been installed about six months into a 1 year warranty. Just curious if they back what they sell.

I have a G2 and like it a lot; I was concerned about how weather resistant any tonneau might be, and so far, so good. Ran the truck through the car wash Friday and not a speck of leakage into the bed.
I thought the installation instructions could have been better, but it was easy to figure out after pausing to scratch my head a few times.
No rust that I know of, although there is a bit in the bed (driver side forward) though; could be from the cover. Not ready yet to blame it on the cover. I'll take a look see.
I do think the wires that you pull to release the catch for each panel are pretty cheesy and not worthy of the price and otherwise good quality of the cover. I don't think they are poorly made, just that a vinyl coated wire seems pretty lame. Tough to grab with gloves on, also.
I would give it an 8 out of 10 so far, and would buy it again.
I also bought there tool box; does the job but I'm not sure I would bother buying it next time.
Hope this helps.

One of the most irritating features, which will eventually resolve itself, is the need to raise the cover prior to shutting the tailgate. You will have to do this for the first few months, but then the rubber seal will begin to retain it's shape created when the tailgate is in the closed positions, at that point, you can close the tailgate without concern of damaging the cover.

Been working great for me. It covers my 5th wheel hitch when not towing and when it's folded to the last fold position there's plenty of room for the trailer to maneuver when turning.

BakFlip G2
I have the BackFlip G2 - had it about a month - noticed this past weekend that when twoing a trailer a V Nose trailer at least, the 2nd panel away from the back window raises up about 3/4 of an inch. It seems like air pressure is getting into the bed somehow and pushing it up from underneath. What seems odd to me is that while this panel is attached to the next panel which locks in, there is enough play in the flexible connector to allow it to raise up. I am going to call BackFlip today about this. it would elak in any type of rain or snow.
