Battery relocation done. Coolant filter done with pics. York prep started.

OK, here are the coolant filter pics, installed it today. It's my birthday (39), so figured I'd treat myself to a day of working on my truck.
First off, here is where the plug I removed is for the inlet to the filter housing. The 3 inch extension you see sticking out is inside of the plug. Reason I went here is Rodney (BlueMule) said it would be the best place to hook into and I trusted his information.
Here is the plug and the new hose connection to replace it. Used some antisieze thread sealant crap that came with the filter housing for the threads
This is where I located my filter housing, fits nice there with no battery around and when pulled off any mess made will drain on the floor/drain pan. I thought about putting shutoffs on the lines for ease of changing the filter, but decided against having 4 more places that "could" leak. I'll just clamp off the lines when I change it.
This is where I teed into the return to the pump. Napa 9934 I think was the number of the tee, got if from Jeffrey's writeup
This is the coolant filter I went with, a need release filter for sca's. Hoses run and all hooked up.
Next, I relocated the degas bottle making room for the york. Just more/less copied what Tim (TJbeggs) did.
Next is a temporary mount for the windshield washer fluid, something permanent will be when the york is in and mount built for it, hopefully soon. I've got to order some pipe to move my intercooler tube on that side down lower out of the way so couldn't go any farther with that portion now.
I also replaced the bottom, top, and degas bottle hoses with new gates hoses from oriellys. Here is a couple pics of the old and new ones just for the heck of it. I used fleetcharge coolant from advance auto which is also precharged sca coolant. It's kinda purple/pinkish. Ugly. Block plugs were pulled to drain most of the old out.
That plastic came on the top one, my old one had been hitting the hood liner forever. I didn't need to cut this one off at all as it was a little shorter than the old one anyway. Must have that loom crap just for extra protection.
I spent most of the day on it, changed the oil and greased it too.
One more thing done. Still the york and leaf springs. Seems like it never ends...

If anyone does it this way, soak that plug in the head with some PB blaster or something, its tight for sure. I sprayed mine last week once, then soaked it yesterday and today when I put the ratchet on there it was stuck hard. I had to use a 2' cheater pipe over the ratchet and was as careful as I could be. It came, but it was real tight.

Darin It's kinda hard to tell from the picture but it looks like the hose from the top of the filter goes back to the head and the lower hose goes to the pump return. If that's actually the way it is then it's backwards and the coolant is going thru the filter in the wrong direction.
I can't wait to see how you do the york with the ic pipes in the way. I gave up on that years ago and sold the york and bought a viair

It's right Rodney, the top one goes to the pump. Picture is hard to tell. Thanks for making sure though.
It doesn't seem like it will be that hard to put my pipe below. There is a lot of room to work without a battery there and the degas bottle moved. I'm completely rebuilding that one, as when I got the pipes I got 3 to make 2 and most of this one is aluminum (made that job suck a little) and I had to have someone else weld that up for me as I have no alum. welder. I think I can put a 45 down off the spyder, and another up off the IC and build a connection between the two.
I'm basically copying TJbeggs and Cutts with the york, at least using their threads for the information. Not sure how soon I'll get to it, although it will be a lot cheaper, I'd really like to get the leaf springs done first along with many other things going on. You know how that goes.
