Auxilliary power outlet

I am having a gray moment this morning so I am needing help. Can anyone direct me to a vendor who supplies power outlets for GPS, cell phones, etc? I know I have seen them with a billet plug with an o-ring on it plus a stem to add the **** of your choice. Just can't recall who offers them. Anybody know? Thanks, Steve

Don't know about any billet ones but you can get them at most auto parts stores and Wal-Marts.

I like the OEM ones, but they just have rubber caps. Lots of late-'90's GM cars had them as a separate piece that screws to the underside of the dash, usually a dual outlet.

I saw a cool thing at Walgreens near the checkouts, a plug that gives you a USB connection out of a auxiliary socket. I think it was $10, which wouldn't be bad if it is decent quality.

Auxillary power

aI've been thinking about USB and 12 V outlet in my '50 ; thought I might pull something from a late model Ford or parts store.

Anybody done this install, need ideas.
