best place to get a tailgate??

so, ive decided that come springtime im going to be in the market for a new tailgate for my 95 F150 2wd. i've decided i really would like to find a gate from an 87-91 F series, the one with the FORD stamped right into it. It would work well with the rest of the truck, trusty me on this...

Searching the junkyards is useless, mostly because these came on base model trucks (the XLT's had the stainless trim on the gate) and i live in Iowa, Tailgates get used and used hard around here ... so im going to rule that out. where is a good spot to locate a reproduction gate? the truck is a lowered 2wd, so its not going to see any heavy hauling anymore ... however i have heard the super cheap tailgates dont fit nearly as nice as the decent ones... just looking for suggestions so i can do my shopping now ...

If I not mistaken, I believe that all 87-91 trucks came with the stamped FORD on them. The Aluminum applique was placed over the tailgate with the appropriate mounting holes drilled out for it.

I figured that, but if it was the only one available you can have the holes filled. It's more work, but doable.

Sorry about that. Went back and reread your first post. Hopefully someone can direct you to a supplier of NOS parts.
