I have a 1978 F-250 with a Dark Jade Metallic exterior paint and matching Dark Jade interior. Checked on BrynDana Internationals Color Bond vinyl dyes/paints and none of the 128 options include Jade Green. And none of the other suppliers I've found offer a matching green. SO! Does anyone have a Jade Green truck with a factory standard interior color other than Jade Green? And, if so, what color?

 

what are you trieing to paint or change?i know that can be a tough color to find as i went with that for my bronco i found a plastic paint at wallmart that matched close that i used for the door panals/seat belt covers ect i also wanted a dash cover but no go either even though the carpet is available good luck

 

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look at the Wally World vinyl paints/dyes for the color match. I've got to buy the dash pad, get the seat reupholstered and get at least one door panel. The dash pad and panel will have to be dyed but I want to be sure of the available colors for all the parts before I start. That's why I was hoping to find an alternate (and acceptable) color in case things went like they usually do.

 

My store here will mix a color to match. They aren't exact on a 30+ year old paint, but they look awesome.

 

I think a contrasting green, (lighter or darker) would look just fine. If you can't find anything you like, black goes with everything.

 

I'd either just go to your local body shop and see where they get their matched paints. Many of them I think go through SEM which can computer color match to create a paint. More expensive than the over the counter Krylon paints or something, but if you want to get as close to original, than that's probably your best bet. It's something to check out anyway and go from there.

I am changing my interior to a saddle tan. Looks very nice with jade green. just my 2 cents worth. My truck is an 1978 f-250 4x4.
