changed lower intake gasket, still white smoke
Hey guys, so heres the low down. I got a steal of a deal on a 97 f150 regular cab short box with a blown lower intake gasket. I hauled the truck home and started tearing it down. The lower gasket was MANGLED, so i replaced with the new one and put everything back together. I followed all the proper torque specs that i recieved from a mechanic at ford. Now that it is all back together, I fire the truck up and it sill has a giant cloud of white smoke coming from the exhaust. It runs smooth as can be now, just smokes like a SOB. I am getting ready to start stripping it down again and doing head gaskets, but just wanted some input before i do. Im thinking it has to be headgaskets, but I am almost stumped. Any ideas? Thanks.
