Hey motor-man -

Benny and the guys are right. Your FICM needs help. Check out ficmrepair.com for all the details on how to pull that module out, ship it across, and we'll take incredible care of you.

Benny was right - my username used to be 5030tinkerer, but I had it changed to FICMrepair.com when I became a sponsor on here.

Feel free to drop me an email or reply to this thread with any questions.

BTW, if you guys ever hear of a module leaving someone stranded, most times a hair drier (NOT a heat gun...) to warm the module up a bit will get the truck started that one last time to get everyone home.

OK, so just out of curiosity. If I'm stuck in the Wal-Mart parking lot, other than being a complete moron for going to Wal-Mart in the first place, where the heck am I supposed to plug in the hair dryer?

BTW, I'm just being a smart-***.

Yeah, but then you're just making the problem worse by draining the batteries you need to power the failing FICM. You need a portable generator for the hair dryer.

OHHHH - your right!!!! Can't believe I missed that!

(actually I have 4 batteries - the two that operate the inverter are separated from the vehicle batteries with an isolator)

Mygenny has two plugs, one for charger, with start assist, one for hair dryer, and I can switch in the blender if takes to long and whip up blender drinks! (breakfast only)

Sorry for the "sidetrack humor". PowerHungryPerformance is the place to go for a tuned FICM. I like the way mine responds - very little turbo lag. They are great folks too!!
