Map sensor?

Map sensor?
My CEL is on took it to ford and they said I need a new map sensor. My question is, I've been driving it for a little bit cause it seems to run fine, mpg is still around 15, is it bad to drive like this or should I not be too worried about it?

No code. Forgot to ask. Had it at another diesel shop and they couldn't even get their scanner to sync up.

Unplug the electrical connection to the map and drive it and see if it runs better. That usually tells you if you have a bad sensor. It will cel, but if it runs better, the map is bad.
