I like the dual armrests too much. I measured some 02 expedition seats and they seemed way to tall. Maybe modifying the bases, ill look into it

Another common swap in is Thunderbird seats. They have all the power options like lumbar, etc. But supposedly they're really heavy. One guy I talked to claimed around 100lbs a seat with all the motors in them and stuff. (On the contrary, I could lift my low back, non-armrest bucket seats out with one hand, they were probably only around 20 - 25lbs).

I think they're a little shorter, so you either need to raise them, or just be tall.

If you are thinking of "modifying" some seats you might consider using the second row bucket seats from a late model (ie. Yukon/suburban or something). These have the dual arm rests and some have the "heated" option. I have a buddy that bought a set of second row buckets out of a Yukon at the local junkyard ($200 for the pair) and they are power & heated...He put them in his 96 Bronco and they look awesome...just an idea...?

I probably won't see him for a few more months but when I do I will take some pics for ya. You might go over to FSB.com and search for seat replacements to get some idea's...?

You know, i need to get a quote on how much it would be to re-do my front bench in my bronco, it has the jade green int and i would love to have the original style covers on it. I like buckets but i like the bench more cause i can lay on it and sleep or relax and i can easily relax my arm across the top while driving. Plus it is the first true bench seat i ever had, my 88 ranger had one but it was a bucket driver with the middle hump attached and a bucket passenger that moved separately.

Is there a place that I can find these seats? Possibly close to northeast Wisconsin? Or a website that I can buy them from.

I bought it from SMS Fabric out in Oregon. It's the best OEM fabric but their customer service sucks and the wait was around 10-12 months. Maybe things have changed now since that was several years ago.
There is another company making it now too. I've heard good things about them and their product. Lots of guys in the 78/79 bronco world are buying from the this place due to the long wait from SMS. Supposedly, they ship in less than a week!?

Here's a link for SMS for ya:
https://smsautofabrics.com/

Here's the new place link:
https://www.freewheelinbroncos.com/p...ch-seat-covers

They also offer to make the complete seat covers too.

Good luck!
