Another day/NVG training flight on the ol Huey, its like being in a ol school 73 Ford, even though its a 67 with 11,000 + flt hours and still rocking!
Doors open and having fun believe it or not, till you see a few tracer rounds, then the fun stops and ......
Back on the big ride in the am.....not to fun and more like work.

Alan, my name is still Curt. It's not a 700, but a 4l60e. Basically the same thing, but still, not. lol Now I need to find either a longer tail shaft or a shorter adapter for the t-case I'm going to be using.
Oh, and the Jeep got relocated closer to my house today. About 35 minutes away now instead of 1.5hrs.

CURT! DOH! ...I knew that. Sorry, I'm better with numbers than names. Still cool stuff getting the toy closer.
The Giants won in a "down to the last second, nail biting" type victory. That was a great game! The halftime show was one of the best in years, too. Madonna still has it after all these years. ...even if she mostly plastic by now.

I tell you this. The best mod I've ever done to this jeep is the electric fuel pump I put into the small pony tank that I got off of a Workhorse chassis. It's a TBI pump and I wired it up with a relay and a switch in the dash. Turn the key on, flip the switch to prime the fuel to the mechanical pump on the engine, turn the key and about 4 seconds later the engine is running. (Truck sits alot. Last time I started it was about 2 months ago.)
First plan for the Jeep is to get the remains of the old bed off and do some frame repair. I also need to get my axles to my brother in law's house so I can blow them apart and fix/replace what I want/need to.
That 4l60 supposedly has a busted sun shell and the front pump/torque converter are missing, but for free, I think I'm going to do ok on it. Won't be able to tear it down until Tuesday after work. Sun shell was going to get replaced anyways!

Good Morning Everybody!
The game is over, it's Monday morning, ....time to get back after it.
I have some errands to run, then I want to get the new black truck started and see what I'm working with. I think someone is supposed to be dropping something off, but we'll see if anyone shows up.

You better be nice, Dave, or you'll wake up to find your van painted the same pretty pink as one particular Bronco we keep talkin' about...

I used to drive a Barney purple Neon years ago.
Long day at work - enough said. Came home to find the wife up to her elbows in pizza dough and I had the wits to ask "Are we having pizza tonight?" Yup - I'm wearing my sign.
